Connecting a Custom Domain
PeerClick system domains (topeerclick.com and legacy domains) work immediately after registration. For real campaigns, your own domain is strongly recommended — test domains are shared across all users and can be blocked at any time.

Step 1: Add a CNAME at your registrar
In your domain's DNS settings, create a record:

Important: the record must be unproxied. If using Cloudflare — grey cloud «DNS only», not orange «Proxied». PeerClick explicitly states it does not guarantee correct tracker operation with proxying enabled.
Set a minimum TTL (e.g. 60 seconds) for faster DNS propagation.
If your registrar allows setting a CNAME on the root domain (not a subdomain) — that's also supported. Point redirect.topeerclick.com to the root domain directly.
Step 2: Add the domain in PeerClick
In your account: Domains (top right corner) → Add another domain. Enter the domain in the format subdomain.domain.com if the CNAME was set for a subdomain, or domain.com for the root domain.
Step 3: Verify
PeerClick automatically checks the CNAME when you add the domain. If the domain shows in red — the CNAME hasn't propagated yet or is misconfigured. Verify via mxtoolbox.com that the record points to redirect.topeerclick.com.
After successful addition, open the domain in a browser — you should see «The domain is successfully added» (with Default setting) or a 404 page (with «404 Page Not Found» setting).
Configuring direct-visit behavior:
In domain settings you can define what happens when someone visits the tracking domain directly: default page, 404, or redirect to a specific campaign. The last option is useful for monetizing direct traffic to the domain.
Why a VPS Makes Sense Alongside PeerClick
The tracker doesn't require a server. But a VPS is useful for the same reasons as with other cloud trackers:
Landing page hosting. PeerClick doesn't provide landing page hosting (unlike AdsBridge). Custom prelanders need either third-party hosting or your own VPS.
