Lava is het eerste modulaire netwerk voor blockchaintoegang dat een nieuwe aanpak introduceert: "specificaties" is een primitieve waarmee deelnemers ondersteuning voor nieuwe ketens en dataservices kunnen toevoegen aan het onderliggende protocol zonder toestemmingen. RPC is de eerste ondersteunde dienst van het netwerk. Ontwikkelaars integreren Lava in hun projecten om data op te halen en netwerkknooppuntbeheerders worden gemotiveerd om snel, accuraat en betrouwbaar te reageren. Lava creëert een snel, schaalbaar en uniform netwerk voor toegang tot een wereld met meerdere netwerken.
